
Apple cake
Een Dutch dessert gemaakt met melted boter, vanille-extract en gemalen kaneel.
Ingrediënten

- 5Vanille-extract1 theelepel

- 7appels3 stuk
- 8Zout1 snuf

Bereiding

verwarm de oven voor op 180°C. (350˚F) Grease a cake pan and line it with baking paper.

In a large bowl, break the four eieren 4 eggen with 200 g suiker and klop tot they have tripled in volume and become fluffy.

Sift the self-rising baking bloem and voeg toe it to your ei mixture. schep erdoor this over, preserving as much air as possible. voeg toe the melted (and slightly cooled) boter and meng tot combined.

voeg toe kaneel, pinch of 1 snuf zout and 1 theelepel vanille-extract.

voeg toe the diced appel to the batter and voorzichtig schep erdoor them into the batter so that the appel pieces are evenly distributed. You can roll the appel pieces through some more kaneel.

giet the batter into the prepared cake pan and glad the top with a spatula.

leg the appel slices on top of the batter and press lightly. bestrooi optionally with some amandel shavings.

bak the appel cake in the preheated oven for ongeveer 45-50 minuten, or tot a wooden skewer comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cake.

verwijder the cake from the oven and laat it cool in the mold for a few minuten. Then carefully verwijder the cake from the mold and laat cool completely on a wire rack.

bestrooi the cooled appel cake with poedersuiker
