
BBQ Varkensvlees Sloppy Joes
Een Amerikaans varkensvlees gemaakt met aardappelen, red uien en limoen.

verwarm de oven voor op 450 degrees. Wash and dry all produce. Cut zoete 2 aardappelen into ½-inch-thick wedges. schud door on a baking sheet with a drizzle of olie, zout, and paprika peper. rooster tot browned and mals, 20-25 minuten.

ondertussen, halve and schil ui. snijd as thinly as possible tot you have ¼ cup (½ cup for 4 servings); finely hak remaining ui. schil and finely hak 2 knoflooken. Halve 1 limoen; pers juice into a small bowl. Halve buns. voeg toe 1 TBSP boter (2 TBSP for 4) to a separate small microwave-safe bowl; microwave tot melted, 30 seconds. Brush onto cut sides of buns.

To bowl with limoensap, voeg toe sliced ui, ¼ tsp suiker (½ tsp for 4 servings), and een snufje zout. roer to meng; zet opzij to quick-pickle.

While varkensvlees cooks, in a third small bowl, meng BBQ sauce, pickling liquid from ui, 3 TBSP ketchup (6 TBSP for 4 servings), ½ tsp suiker (1 tsp for 4), and ¼ cup water (⅓ cup for 4). Once varkensvlees is cooked through, voeg toe BBQ sauce mixture to pan. kook, stirring, tot sauce is thickened, 2-3 minuten. proef and breng op smaak with zout and paprika.

ondertussen, toast buns in oven or toaster oven tot goudbruin, 3-5 minuten. Divide toasted buns between plates and fill with as much BBQ varkensvlees as you’d like. Top with pickled ui and hot sauce. serveer with zoete aardappel wedges on the side.
