
Tandoori chicken
A Indian chicken dish made with lemons, paprika, red onions and chicken thighs.
Ingredients
- 1lemons2 Juice
- 2Paprika powder4 tsp
- 3Red Onions2 finely chopped
- 4Chicken Thighs16 skinnless
- 5Vegetable OilFor brushing
- 6Greek yogurt300 ml
- 7Ginger1 piece
- 8Garlic Clove4 piece
- 9garam masala¾ tsp
- 10Ground Cumin¾ tsp
- 11chilli powder½ tsp
- 12Turmeric¼ tsp

Mix the lemon juice with the paprika 4 tsp of paprika powder and 2 finely chopped red onions in a large shallow dish. Slash each chicken thigh three times, then turn them in the juice and set aside for 10 mins.

Mix all of the marinade ingredients together and pour over the chicken. Give everything a good mix, then cover and chill for at least 1 hr. This can be done up to a day in advance.

Heat the grill. Lift the chicken pieces onto a rack over a baking tray. Brush over a little oil and grill for 8 mins on each side or until lightly charred and completely cooked through.
